Our weekend was fast and furious. One of the best we've had in a long while. We celebrated Travis' grandmother's 90th birthday and my mom's birthday as well. I love a good birthday celebration and to have two in a weekend was lovely!
My parents came to town for a quick visit. One thing is for sure... when your parents live far away you learn quickly to squeeze everything you can into what little time there is.
On Sunday we went to the park so the kids could show Grandma and Grandpa how they can ride their bikes. The Texas weather was showing off all weekend... sunny and high 60s. There was just a bit of wind and we talked about what perfect weather it would have been to fly a kite.
As we were walking around the pond Colt and Grandma found a string coming out of the pond. They pulled and pulled until a kite appeared from the depths of the pond. Right as it surfaced the wind caught it and it flew up into the air. It was one of the funniest things I've seen in a while!
The rest of the weekend was spent eating our favorite Mexican food, visiting, eating some more, watching the Olympics at night, going to Trader Joe's, playing outside and going on a walk.
I'm so thankful for the time that we had! Thank you for coming to visit Grandma and Grandpa! We love you!
