A Reader

It was a good day over here.

Big news in our little house.

We not only have a newborn in the house but we also have an official reader.

I would say that today was the official day that reading clicked for Emma.

We picked up a Dick and Jane reader at the library this week.

This morning we opened it up and I helped her through the first chapter.

A little while later I was nursing Eloise in the chair in our bedroom.

Emma had the book open on the bed and was reading out loud to us.

At one point her head popped up and she looked at me with the biggest smile.

"I'm reading!!!"

I'll never forget that moment.

Go, Dick, Go.

Go EMMA Go!!! :)

And of course Colt wants to be just like Emma.

I found him a bit later sitting on my bed with the same book.

According to him he was reading "Dick and James".

Never a dull moment around here :)

I'm off to snuggle with a freshly bathed Eloise.
