Well

In years past I've always made the traditional New Years Resolution list.

This year was a bit different.
All through December I thought about what my list would look like.
What I wanted to add to it.
And then the new year came.
And I still wasn't quite ready to write anything down.
So I didn't.
I've always just thrown some resolutions on a paper and by day three crashed and burned on them all.

There are so many dreams and goals I have for this year.
Ones for me...ones for our family.

As I started praying through and writing down my goals for the year I kept coming
back to the fact that I wanted to do them WELL and to the best of my ability.
I want to honor the Lord with my list.
To strive at what I had written down...giving the goals to Him...giving Him my best.

I am the queen of starting a project and not finishing it.
I get distracted easily and love to move on to something else mid-project.
I have always been this way.
If you don't believe me you should come and take a peek at my half painted dining room.
It's been that way for a month now;)

I have continued to make a list of goals for the new year.
And I've written a big "WELL" over all of them.
They may be accomplished this year.
They  may not be.
But I am going to strive to do my best and to do them well.

Colossians 3:23
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart,
as working for the Lord, not for men."

  5. I know exactly what you mean.. I'm sure a ton of us can relate to the habit of leaving things 1/2 done! I'm with you on this one--- I'm doing my best to stick to the handful of goals I have and do them WELL. Good stuff!!

  7. Same verse is framed in two places in my house, but the thing the Lord has brought to mind over the last 6 or more months is being intentional. love that He can show us different things with the same verse!
