Praying and Guarding

Our hearts are aching for the families that have lost their sweet loved ones in Connecticut.
As a mom I can't think about the events without crying.
Crying for the lives the lost.
Crying for the parents who lost their babies.
Crying for the children whose innocence was taken from them.

And then my mind races to my own babies.
And I cry because this is the world that they are growing up in.
A dark one.
Full of evil.
And all I can do is pray the Lord's protection over them.

This article from Sally Clarkson is beautifully put
about guarding and protecting our children's innocence.
I strongly urge you mother's/father's/grandparents to read it.

John 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.
In this world, you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world."

  2. After I heard about the shooting yesterday, I wanted to hold my baby and never let go. I can't believe someone would be so sick to take a life, let alone that of a child. It's just so sad.

  4. Ashley, thanks for sharing that Sally Clarkson article. That woman is so wise and I love reading what she has to say. Purity for our children is so, so important.
I have been thinking about and praying for those precious little babies (and their families) non stop since Friday. So, so horrible.
