Sweet book

Hello friends!
I'm going to try to squeeze in a quick post before the day is over!
I just wanted to share a little book with you while I was thinking about it...

There is a woman at our church who has been an elementary school principle for a very long time.
This is her last year before she retires.
Over the course of many years she's collected quite a collection of childrens books.
She lives right around the corner from us and every now and
then she'll stop by with a load of books for us to keep.
It's like Christmas!
The best part is some of the books are quite old.
The older ones get put aside by me much to the disappointment of the kids :)
My favorite book that she brought this past week was written in 1966.
The artwork and colors of the book are beautiful!
I just had to share the first little story in the book with you.
I LOVE the pictures of this story :)

Oh! And thankyou to everyone who left a comment about bread machines!
From what I gather I just need to hit up a second hand store to buy a used one.
And most of you also preferred baking the bread in your own oven
as opposed to being baked in the machine.

I'm off to work on my grocery list.
I've decided this month I am going to try shopping once a week at the grocery store in town as opposed to doing two weeks at Walmart in the town nearby.
I'm hoping that if I make my menu around what the specials are I can make it work?
I will definitely be spending less gas so I'll add that into the equation.
I'll let you know how it goes:)
Are any of you couponers?
I'd love to hear your tips if you are!!!

Hope you're having a great week:)

  2. Sign up for The Coupon Mom and see if that store is listed under your state. She does all the work for you...matching coupons and sales. I was able to save 45 percent last week matching deals and only spent 63.00 on groceries...not bad for 6 people!! Happy Shopping!!
