Our week

To say that I'm blown away by your response from the Staying Home post would be a huge understatement!
The most awesome part to me was that it was such a wide variety of you commenting.
Stay at home moms, working moms, single girls, stay at home wives.
I'm still praying and thinking it all through.
My mind is spinning with a couple ideas for the next couple months.
Either Monday or Tuesday I'll post more about the comments that were left.
Alot of you sent e-mails.
I will try to reply to all of them by the end of the weekend!
I'm excited about what the Lord is doing :)

The weather here in Texas has been unseasonably warm!
It's tricked me into thinking spring has sprung :)
Today the high reached 72!

One of my favorite Christmas presents this year was my air-popcorn machine from my parents.
We grew up with a machine similar to this one.
I have many fond memories of huddled around the machine waiting and watching for the first kernel to pop!
They also gave me a few seasonings for our popcorn.
Have you ever tried Kernel Season's White Cheddar seasoning? It is SO good!!!

Many morning walks were taken to the lake this week.
Lots of rock and pinecone throwing into the water.

In case you're in need of a good laugh.
I walked into the living room a few nights ago to find a little head sticking out of our blanket basket.

Turns out Emma talked Colt into playing beauty parlor.
She was pretending Barbies legs were the scissors ;)

Colt thoroughly enjoyed his time at the spa :)

Today was our warmest day yet.
The big two spent the better part of the morning playing outside and building forts.
They breaked shortly for lunch as a family on the back porch.

The babies are all tucked into bed for the night.
Clothes are laid out for church in the morning.
Speaking of church, we're reading through the Bible as a church family this year.
I'm so excited about this!
Each week in the bulletin they're going to put the week's passages that need to be read.
Just what I'm needing to keep me on track!
However, I am already behind this week so time to get caught up:)
Hope you had a great weekend!

  2. I love the idea of reading through the Bible as a Church! I would like to start that with our family too, even though my son is still young, but to make it a habit already. Hiding God's Word in his heart :)

Your babes are adorable. I especially love that last pic of your baby.. his hair is awesomely fuzzy! :)

  3. Love the photo of the kiddo's hands in the popcorn bowl!

Yes, the weather has been nice here! We went to the lake on New Year's eve day and wore tshirts. I've really been enjoying it :)

  4. This is my first time at your blog--I clicked through from Casey Wiegand's because "The Vanilla Tulip" is quite probably the cutest blog name ever. EVER. And your pictures are just beautiful, so I must admit that I was scanning through those before reading any words!

But I definitely need to click through to the staying home post. I wrestle with this--though I am a [barely] work-from-home mama. I'm really interested to read what everyone had to say!

    Stop by reverie any time!

    Love,
    Sarah
