New Years Eve

posted on: Saturday, December 31, 2011

Thankful for this past year.
Thankful for a sweet new addition to our family.
Thankful for a new job opportunity.
Thankful for a new church family.
Thankful for the Lord's mercies.
Thankful for the lessons learned this year.
Thankful for times of refreshment.

I'm looking forward to this upcoming year.
Looking forward to accomplishing several goals.
I'll share more on these later.
Enjoy your New Years Eve!

Happy New Years from our family to yours!

Silver Dollar City

posted on: Friday, December 30, 2011

We wrapped up our trip to see my family with a trip to Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri.
If you haven't been there before I highly suggest taking your family!
Christmas is my favorite time to visit the park.
It is COVERED in Christmas lights!

We attempted a family picture...
as usual this was as good as it got :)

Silver Dollar City is full of delicious food!
A stop for funnell cakes is always a must!

Emma Kate ADORES her Uncle Tim :)

Our double stroller was a life-saver.
We always pack it full of coats and bags.
And an occasional baby.

In the center of the park is a gigantic Christmas tree that does a musical light show every 15 minutes.
It's so awesome!

I'm sad that our trip is over to see my family.
Missouri is too far away from Texas in my opinion!
I am however excited to pack up Christmas and get organized and freshened up for the new year!
Are you a New Years resolution maker?
I always am.
The problem is I never follow through.
So my number one solution is to follow through with the rest ;)
If I have a minute tomorrow I'll share my goals for the new year!
Have a great Friday!!!

All is Well

posted on: Saturday, December 24, 2011

All is well, all is well
Angels and men rejoice
For tonight darkness fell
Into the dawn of love's light

All is well, all is well
Let there be peace on earth
Christ is come, go and tell
The He is in the manger

All is well, all is well
Lift up your voice and sing
Born is now Emmanuel
Born is our Lord and Savior

Luke 2:11
"For unto you is born this day
in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord."

Merry Christmas from our family to yours.
Our hearts are rejoicing and celebrating on the birthday of our Saviour!

Week of Phone Pics

posted on: Thursday, December 22, 2011

I'm taking a break in between packing, wrapping, sewing and cleaning.
We're spending our Christmas here, there and everywhere else in between!
I'm ready to be done with the prep work...
ready to slow down and celebrate the birth of my Savior!

Thankfully the whole week has been relatively slow.
Just enjoying our time together!

Technically this picture is from last weekend....
Caramel Brulee' Latte... have you tried it? You should :)

We had our first carolers this week!
I have never had carolers come to my door...have you?
It was awesome!

We've crammed in as many Christmas movies as we possibly could the past few weeks.
Our library has a great selection of holiday movies!
I think Trav is about Hallmarked out ;)

This big fella had his first pancake this week.
He ate the whole thing by himself.
He'll be 9 months tomorrow.
*sigh*

The last of the Christmas presents were sewn and finished tonight.
This little bag is for my nephew whom I haven't seen in 6 months.
There should be a law against living so far away from your loved ones!

Captain America with Little Red Riding Hood's cape....
coolest super hero I know :)

I'm going to be sad when we have to take down our Christmas lights...
they make evenings seem so cozy!

The upstairs windows of our downtown's shops all have these silhouettes.
I think it's the cutest thing ever!

Time to finish up.
Are you ready for the weekend?!
Do you stay home or go to friends and family?
I'd love to hear your plans!
Nighty night:)
