Slow but sure!

Slow but sure is my motto these days :)
We're slowly figuring out a new routine.  I'm loving the slowness of our days.
Today was Trav's first day back at work and my first day alone with the three kids.
By the time I got myself showered and all three babes dress it was already lunchtime!

I daresay that Cade is my easiest baby yet!  He only wakes up twice at night to eat.  Just like clockwork at midnight and five in the morning.  Then every two and a half hours throughout the day.
He had his first dr. appointment yesterday to check on his weight gain and he's gaining nicely!

The adjustment from two to three has been pretty great so far!
I think that main reason it's been so great is because of Travis.  I LOVE my husband!
He has gone above and beyond keeping the house clean and making sure everyone is taken care of.
Thanks Trav :)

These last three pictures were taken the day before Cade was born.
We had taken the kids to their grandparents to run around outside.
Little did we know this would be the last day it was just the two of them :)

Time for Cade's last feeding before bed!
By the way... keep posting on your blogs... it's my nightly reading while I'm feeding him at midnight :)
Sorry I haven't been commenting... kind of hard with one hand!
Nighty night!

I'd say these two are definitely related :)
Can you tell which boy is which?

Sweet Arrival

Psalm 103:1, "Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise His holy name."

Our sweet Cade was born this morning!
My heart is full of thankfulness for a healthy baby boy and easy delivery.
Off to sleep for the evening... I'll post more later!

Spring Clothing

Happy Saturday afternoon!  The weather here is absolutely beautiful!  Blue skies and lots of sun!
As soon as the babes wake up from their naps it's back outside for more fresh air :)

After spending the last six months wearing stretchy maternity pants and the same four shirts over and over and over again... I am SO ready for some new spring clothes!  I'm loving all the bright colors that stores are offering this spring.  I've got my little "wish-list" below.  Some of the things are from J. Crew and an online store called Emerson Made.  And let me just say the prices are way out of my price range.  The chambray skirt pictured below is $148... I don't think so.   However... the good part is I've seen similar items at Forever 21, Old Navy and Target!  For a fraction of the cost!
The fun part about putting together an inspiration board for me is that I figure out what I like and what I'm looking for when I go shopping.  Then I don't become quite so overwhelmed and come home with a weird variety of clothes.  Most of what I've picked below can be mixed and matched!

1. Bright Gingham Shirt - Love that you can wear these tucked into a skirt or trouser jeans.  Or it can become casual with a light pair of denim jeans.
2. Beach Floral Dress- This would look cute alone or with a cardigan over it
3. Floral Scarf- I can't get enough scarves! I think this would look cute with a pair of trouser jeans, the wedges pictured above and a casual v-neck pocket tee.
4. Chambray Skirt- I've seen similar skirts at Target and Old Navy.  So feminine!
5. Pocket Skirt- Love any skirt or dress with pockets!
6. Wedge- My favorite part about these is they can be either dressed up or down
7. Dark Trouser Jeans- I think this style of jeans is so flattering for anyone!
8. Assorted Bangles- Yay for Forever 21 and cheap jewelery :)

So there you have it.  What I'm dreaming about for spring :)
What are some of your favorite spring/summer clothes trends?

And of course all of this would be darling paired with some coral nail polish!

Enjoy your weekend! :)

Goodevening friends!
The babies are tucked into bed and Trav and I are both having a few minutes of computer time before we head to bed ourselves.
Tonight I am so thankful for a cozy home, warm beds, healthy babies and a wonderful husband.
My mind has been with the people of Japan all day.  I simply can't imagine.
I am so thankful for a God who cares and is there.
Even in the midst of chaos and confusion, He is there.

Isaiah 43:2-3
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the Lord your God,
the Holy one of Israel, your Savior."

This afternoon after naptime we headed to the park for some fresh air.
Travis and the kids had plans to fish.  And I had plans to walk around the pond in hopes of enticing sweet Cade to make his appearance.  The walk obviously didn't help... instead I am now quite sore and realize how out of shape I've become in the past nine months. :)

Emmy has quite an impressive cast for a little girl!

Her brother on the other hand has not quite mastered the art of casting.
His favorite trick is to throw the fishing rod into the water.
And just to be clear NOT his own fishing rod but his sister's :)

The tulips were in full bloom today.
I do believe spring is here!

Can anyone guess what this is? ;)

Our weekend consists of a whole lot of nothing.... which sounds lovely!
And then this next week is spring break for Trav!  I'm so excited to have him home for a whole week!
I keep hinting to Cade that it would be a perfect time for him to make his grand appearance.  :)
Have a great weekend!

I'd say that is the word that would best describe what's going on at our house right now!
Waiting for our house to sell...
Waiting for a sweet baby boy to make his arrival (I'm now 37 weeks)...
Waiting for the word on when Travis will be leaving to start his new job...

And that's about it :)

I must say I kind of love having our house on the market.  I love having a spotless house where everything is in its place.  I'm hoping to carry these spotless habits over to our new house! We shall see how that goes :)
Another perk of having a spotless house is having the freedom to play with the kids more instead of stressing about having to clean or do laundry.  I think part of the spotlessness has to do with the fact that I threw away and got rid of ALOT of extra stuff that never was used.  Thus making the house alot more clutter free.  Which means there is far less stuff that needs to be put away and cleaned.  Growing up my mom always said, "Less is best!"  I always thought that was a stupid saying and thought that more more more was better.
Until now :)  Mom--- you were right! LESS IS BEST! :)

This sweet girl is the best nap taker!  She has yet to outgrow an afternoon nap.
I love that about her :)

If I had to use one word to describe Colt... it would be the word JOLLY.
He has the best laugh and gets tickled at the littlest things! :)

The kids have been wrestling more and more these days...
it might have something to do with the fact that I've packed up most of their toys and now they're bored! ha
Below Rapunzel is taking down Prince Phillip. :) (the names that Emma has been calling them lately)

This past week I've been having more and more random contractions.
A little reality check that yes... we do have a baby coming in the next couple weeks!
So our bags are packed for the hospital and I finished sewing Cade's carseat cover this past weekend.

If you look close enough you will see a string hanging out of Colt's mouth.
I'm not sure what his deal is but he LOVES to put string and pieces of lint in his mouth.
It's not uncommon to find him chewing on a piece of lint/string that is wadded up like a piece of gum.

I should be checking in a bit more frequently now that I'm caught up to speed on my to-do list!
The kids are napping now so time to get off of here for a cat nap of my own!
Have a great Tuesday!
