Weekend Happenings & Sausage Cheese Biscuits

*We made lots of hot cocoa with colored marshmallows.

*Saturday morning cartoons with a picnic breakfast on the couch.
(Sausage cheese biscuit recipe below)

*Turtly little baby :)

*Cupcake making for our family Christmas party.
Saturday night we made pizza, cupcakes and a cheeseball for dinner.
Trav lit a fire and we watched a Christmas movie as a family.
It was the first movie that we've watched as a family that was NOT a cartoon.
"12 Dogs of Christmas"
Pretty cute!

*We never got around to combing Colt's hair on Saturday ;)

*Sunday morning church.
Emma's choir sang "Happy Birthday Jesus"...sweetest thing I've ever seen :)

*Sunday evening was spent at the coach's Christmas party.
We all brought some sort of Mexican food.
After dinner the kids watched Polar Express in their jammies while the adults played games.
The evening was such a blessing to me.
It was so nice to laugh and visit with friends.
We knew it was time to head home when Colt kept taking off his clothes
and running through the house naked :)
Life with a little boy is anything but boring. ;)

This weekend I made Sausage Cheese Biscuits for our breakfast.
These things are DELISH!
Some people call them sausage balls.
That name just weirds me out.
So Sausage Cheese Biscuits it is :)

They're yummy for breakfast!
They're also good to take to a party or get together.
And easy to throw in your freezer if you make more than you need.

INGREDIENTS
1 lb. sharp cheedar cheese, grated
1 lb. sausage
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 cups Bisquick
1 egg
1Tablespoon oil
1 Tablespoon water

DIRECTIONS
Brown your sausage.
In the skillet add the rest of the ingredients and stir thoroughly.
Roll into spoonful sized balls.
Place on a cookie sheet.
I line my cookie sheet with aluminum foil...makes for easy cleanup!
Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.

*this is the sausage that I use*

  8. I found that recipe in a Holiday Better Homes and Gardens. It even works with gluten-free bisquick - they are just delightful little munchies! :) Thanks for sharing!
