Proverbs 17:22
"A cheerful heart is good medicine.."
I was reminded of this verse this morning at breakfast.
The big two had the giggles while they ate.
There is nothing sweeter than little heads tipped back belly laughing about nothing :)
The lovely artwork in the background would from Colt the artist.
With a dry erase marker.
WHICH didn't erase off my walls.
At all.
Going to have to paint over it :)

I searched high and low in our little town for brown paper to wrap my presents.
Sadly there was none to be found.
I went to Dollar General a few nights ago to find something else that might work.
And find something I did!
I LOVE this wrapping paper!!!

One of my favorite lunches to make for myself and the kids is homemade macaroni and cheese.
I usually just make a saucepan full and that is plenty for two kids and myself.
I usually just make a saucepan full and that is plenty for two kids and myself.
INGREDIENTS
1 Tablespoon butter
1 Tablespoon flour
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
2 1/2 cups milk
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 box pasta shells (the small ones)
DIRECTIONS
Cook your noodles and set aside.
Melt your butter in a sauce pan.
Whisk your flour into the melted butter.
Whisk for a few minutes until it's kind of a dough ball.
Add your milk, salt and pepper.
Keep whisking over medium heat until it thickens up.
Once it's thickened up add your cheese.
Keep stirring until your cheese has melted all the way.
Pour over your noodles and stir!
That's it!
SO easy and delish!
I also like to add black beans and a little salsa sometimes to our mac n' cheese.
Kind of a southwestern taste!

This recipe sounds quick and easy. I'm going to have to try it with the kids. This Mama likes Mac & Cheese, too.
ReplyDeleteHope your day is BLESSED!
Laurel :)
I am obsessed with mac and cheese...need to try this!
ReplyDeleteI know this sounds weird, but try using sunscreen (the stuff you put on the kids or yourself in the summer) on the dry erase marker! I used to be a teacher and it got sharpie off our tables! If that doesn't work, try a Mr. Clean Magic eraser! Works easier (and cheaper) than painting over it!!
ReplyDeleteHope that works!

Aww, your little ones are precious! There's really nothing better than their smiles and giggles :) I wish my little guys would eat mac and cheese because that looks wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for sharing that verse...I needed to hear that today ;)
