How in the world is it that Thanksgiving is next week?
I feel like the month of November has flown by.
And with there only being a week left of "fall activities" I'm bound and determined to fit them all in!
Here's what I've yet to check off my list...
*raking up a big pile of leaves for the babes to jump in
*make caramel apples
*bake an apple pie
I'd say that it's very doable to complete all three by next Thursday!
Have you completed all your fall to-do's?
Because let's face it... once Thanksgiving Thursday ends it's full swing Christmas and winter!

I've been teaching the kids about Thanksgiving this past week.
It's been fun this year because they're beginning to ask questions :)
I loved doing the following craft with them because there was SO much fun learning involved!
We talked about the Mayflower.
We talked about the ocean and how God made it to be all shades of blues, greens and grays.
We talked about the sun and how God made it to be all different shades of yellows, oranges and reds.
We talked about clouds.
And obviously they got to color and schmere glue around :)
Our little supervisor :)

My mom gave us this book last year.
If you don't have it I HIGHLY suggest you buy it!
It's full of beautiful pictures and the words are so lovely!
My favorite line in the book is when it's talking about what people do in November...
"They travel very far on a special November day just to share a meal with one another and to give thanks for their many blessings- for the food on their tables and the babies in their arms."
This part always makes me get teary eyed (yes I know...such a mom).
I am so thankful for three healthy babies.
Three Thanksgivings ago I was especially thankful for my babies.
Emma was 10 months old and I was very early pregnant with Colt.
A few weeks before I had my first sonogram.

A few weeks before I had my first sonogram.
At the sonogram they told me there was no baby and that it was a molar pregnancy.
That was a Friday.
I spent the weekend mourning the loss of what I had believed to be my baby.
It was a terrible terrible time.

We spent the weekend praying that that the dr. had been wrong.
We were praying, our families were praying, friends were praying.
Monday I went in to have a d&c.
Neither Travis nor I felt right about it.
They performed another sonogram.
And this time they saw a baby... Colt.
They had made a mistake.

The Lord is so good to have protected my sweet boy.
I am thankful for "the babies in my arms" this Thanksgiving season.

Unto our Father for every good thing.
All together joyfully sing!"
