The past month or so I've felt like I need to be more intentional.
With my walk with the Lord, my husband, my kids and our finances.

I love the definition of intention.
"A determination to act a certain way."
"Significance."
"What one intends to do or bring about."

The Lord has blessed me.
With a wonderful husband who works hard to provide for our family.
With three healthy kids.
A home, food, vehicles, EVERYTHING that is needed.

I had begun to feel like I was just floating along.
No intention to anything I was doing.
I was home with the babies.
Changing diapers, feeding them, cleaning the house, running errands...
And at the end of the day falling into bed exhausted.
Only to begin the routine all over.
I don't want to live my life just flitting away the days.
I decided I wanted to be intentional.
In EVERYTHING that I do.

I want to be more intentional with my Bible.
I want to be more intentional in how I love and serve my husband.
I want to be more inentional in how I love on my babies and what I do at home with them.
I want to be more intentional in how our money is being used and spent.

I thought about trying to cram it all into one post.
But turns out I have way to much to say on each subject.
So I'm going to break it down into parts.

Part 1: Being Intentional in how I study His Word
Part 2: Being Intentional with my husband
Part 3: Being Intentional with my kids
Part 4: Being Intentional with our finances

So... in the next day or two I will do Part 1.
Do you feel like you're intentional?
If so I'd love to hear how!!! In any area of your life!

  1. Love this post! I find it difficult to be intentional in all areas at the same time. Being intentional always makes a differences. I'm trying to get back to that now with our finances. I am being intentional in my daily time with the Lord in His Word. That always seems to improve all other areas. It starts there. Looking forward to reading your thoughts!

  3. I feel like I always learn something from your blog! I can definitely relate.
Being intentional is definitely something I struggle with. I find it very easy to become consumed and overwhelmed with the daily tasks of taking care of kids and a house. Like Jami said, when I am intentional in prayer and reading the bible, everything else does seem to follow :)
