Lately I feel as if I'm hearing this sentence more and more from older moms,
"Enjoy this time with your little people because they grow up too fast!"
I 100% agree with them.
I'm not sure how my little girl is already three and a half?
I love being home with my babies.
Absolutely love it!!!
You couldn't pay me all the money in the world to be away from them.

I love knowing exactly whats going on in their lives.
I love knowing their favorites.
I love seeing their sweet faces when they wake up in the mornings and from naps.
I love watching them learn and discover new things.
I love teaching them new songs and Bible verses.
I love exploring God's creation with them.

I love hugging and kissing on them whenever I want.
I love having them with me 24/7.
I LOVE them!!! :)
I've found that staying at home it's sometimes hard to find a good balance between housework
and playing with the kids.
It's so easy to get caught up in my morning chores. Dishes, cleaning, laundry.
By the time I look at the clock it's almost lunchtime and then naps.
And while I've been around my kids all morning I haven't made the time to sit down and play with them.
I'm trying to be more purposful about my time with them.

This morning after breakfast I just left my chores.
Dishes undone, beds unmade, etc.

We put Cade in the stroller for his morning nap and spent our morning outside.
We went on a long walk and ended up at a little lake right next to our house.

It was wonderful!
The kids are in bed now.
My house is still a mess.
My house is still a mess.
But we had a GREAT day :)
Time was spent together enjoying each other and His creation.
Years from now I won't look back and regret not doing the dishes or making the beds.
I will look back at the pictures from our day and be reminded of the time that was spent with my babies.
They're growing... and quickly!
I'm going to choose to relax on getting everything done and focus

more on savoring and treasuring my time with them being little.
Psalm 127:3
"Sons are a heritage from the Lord,
children a reward from Him."
Friend, I could just copy and paste this post onto my blog. The Lord has been convicting me in these areas as well It's one thing for me to stay within my calling and care for the home, it's another for it to be my idol and focus. I busy myself way more than necessary. I'm actually working on a chore chart for myself so I can get a handle on the madness and set boundaries and limits to what I do each day and what time of day. Praying he refines us through these stages of parenthood.
