Snapshots of our day...

Hi friends!
Okay PLEASE read this and do it:)
I absolutely love reading your comments!
And I would LOVE to be able to reply directly to your comments!
However, when I hit reply most often it says "no reply. blogger.com"
Wha wha.
Obviously I could look up your blog and then find your e-mail through there.
But that most likely won't happen.
Side note: I maybe look at two or three blogs a day.
No time...no time :)
Anyways, here is what you MUST do!
Here's what you do if you use Blogger. Click on the "Edit Profile" link.  You can find it next to your picture in Dashboard.  Then click the option "Show my email address". And that's it!!!

I'm trying to get in the habit of replying to everyone's comments.
I know I always love it when blog writers reply to mine!
So, make it easy on me and make your e-mail available :) :) :)

This morning I thought I would take a few snapshots throughout our day.
Mainly for me to remember years down the road what our days looked like. :)
I love being home with my babies.
I wouldn't trade these days for anything.
They're definitely tiring.
Sometimes I wonder if I have some sort of vitamin deficiency because I'm so tired.
But then I remind myself that three tiny people needing constant care will do that to you!
So without further ado...
A bit of our day!

This picture was actually from last night before we headed to church.
This was Emma's attempt at feeding Cade his rice cereal.
I just adore his precious face!!!

Now... on to today.
We were home all day today.
Nowhere to be. My favorite kind of days!
I started off our day giving my kitchen a thorough cleaning.
My favorite product to use in the kitchen is this bleach spray.
I love knowing that it kills all the gross germs.
But what I really love is that it leaves my kitchen smelling like a swimming pool:)

While I was cleaning up the kitchen the big two were pretending that it was my birthday.
This is one of their favorite pretend games to play.
I think part of that is because we read a book a few weeks ago about
some kids surprising their mom on her birthday.

Well today they went all out and baked me a cake.
Emma's exact words were...
"Mom! We made you a butt-cake with q tip candles!"

Yes...a butt cake.
Not sure if she meant bundt or what? :)
We just went with it ha!

I picked up The Pioneer Woman's cook book from the library.
I've been having to fight Colt to get a turn to read it.
There are just as many pictures of horses and dogs in the book as there are recipes!

This big old disaster was my main task this morning.
LAUNDRY.
I made the mistake of doing a bajillion loads all at once.
I don't mind sorting, washing or drying.
Putting away is SO hard for me to accomplish!
So ridiculous I know.
What ends up happening is I usually fold things twice because the kids run through it before it gets put away.
I mean seriously...so ridiculous.
After an hour of re-folding and putting away....

 I have a clean couch!
Until next week that is ;)

I switched up my menu plan and decided to make lasagna tonight.
I used The Pioneer Woman's recipe.
Absolutely DELICIOUS!
I will say that I cut her recipe in half.
And it was still WAY to much food for our family of four.
Just a little FYI.

While I cook I like to snack.
Actually, I always like to snack.
I was thinking about it today and I definitely became a snacker when I became a mother.
My babes are at the age now that I'm constantly up and down from the table.
Wiping up messes, refilling cups, cutting food, etc.
To eat a full meal from start to finish is unheard of :)
I'm sure all mothers can relate.

So that's why I snack.
When meal times come around I'm not famished and can do my job :)

My little sous chef while I cooked.
AH! He is so precious!

The view from my kitchen sink.

Afternoon snacktime!
And if anyone is wondering whether or not my boys wear clothes... ;)
Cade is a sweaty little babe especially during naptime.
So I figure if we're around the house he can just be in his diaper!
Cool and comfy!

And Colt.
Ohhh Colt.
I can't keep clothes on him for the life of me!
Clothes or a diaper.
He's a mess.
:)

While Colt was eating his snack, Emma was busy practicing her dance moves.
We just enrolled her in a ballet and tap class.
They don't start for another week and a half.
Her leotard, skirt and ballet slippers came in the mail today.
I let her wear them for a little bit to "try them out" :)

This girl is a crackup!!!
I have no idea where she learned her moves but they are quite creative haha!
If you're needing a good laugh scroll on down :)

And there ya have it.
A little bit of our day!
Travis was home a little earlier from football tonight which was such a treat!
We were able to eat dinner together. :)
Once the kids were in bed I worked on sorting through last years winter clothes.
Holy mackeral.  What a chore!
The good news is Cade is such a big baby that he should be able to wear alot of what Colt wore last year.
Sweet Emma has had quite a growth spurt and not alot will fit her this year.
I usually list her clothes on Ebay.
I'm debating on creating a seperate little blog to do an "online garage sale."
Anyone interested in buying some cute 3T girls winter clothes?
I'll think on that a little more and get back to you!

Have a great Thursday evening!
I probably won't check back until Saturday.
It's game day tomorrow... so excited for our boys and the coaches!

Oh, and before I forget...
just to clarify.
I do not have a highschool boy who plays football:)
My husband is a highschool football coach.

Somebody asked awhile back and I forgot to answer haha!

Have a great weekend!

  5. Girl, I am right there with you on all these accounts!!
I DO NOT like it when people don't link their email to their blog... so frustrating!! I'd love to be able to reply to EVERY.SINGLE.COMMENT... but as readership grows, I just don't have the dang time to go to my computer, track them down, and send them something in return. Now, when time permits me, I will sit down and return all comments on their actual blogs.
(let's be real, we all like an actual comment returned! (= )
What I would REALLY love is to be able to hit "reply" on my droid, and send a litle lovin' to aforementioned commenter.
    *sigh*

ALSO, I LOVE to do laundry... wash, dry, put them in the baskets... but I DO NOT like to put them away. I love having the clean clothes & the wonderful smell. For the life of me, I cannot seem to ever get them put away when I should. Why?!

Anyways, I am happy to find your blog, because it made me smile tonight. So nice to "meet" you!! :)

  6. This made me laugh!!! That is SO what my couch looks like! Like, all the time. Its hillarious how when I have a clean couch, people think the house is clean because they are so used to it being filled with laundry. My fave laundry moment was when a friend came in the house and said, "Oh, you are going through the kids clothes again" (you know, like for seasons) and I had to laugh and say, "Nope, just laundry in a family of 6!"
Getting rid of Emmas clothes? Does that mean no more babies!? Come on....keep up with me, sista!
