This, that and Camera Strap Covers

Good Sunday afternoon!

It's Sunday afternoon naptime over here... and quiet time for this mommy!
We had a full and long week that I am thankful is now over!  It was a great week but I definitely packed in a little more than I normally care to and probably should have.  I had quite a few make up piano lessons and then also watched two little girls that I normally don't watch.  And on top of that Colt and I have been fighting nasty colds which makes for even longer days.  My voice has been coming and going for about three days now... hopefully one more night of good rest will be all it takes for it to stick around!  It's hard to parent when you hardly have a voice. :) I'll tell Emma to do something and she'll respond, "HUH???"..then I'll repeat...and she'll respond again with "HUH?"  It's frustrating for everybody haha!

The weather here in Texas has been absolutely beautiful this week.... in the 60s and 70s!
We spent almost every afternoon playing outside for a couple of hours.  There is nothing better than fresh air to make your kiddos sleep great at night!

The past few weeks I've been finding Colt more and more sitting in baskets around the house.
Anything that is flat or shaped like a basket is a "boat" in his mind :)

Since we were homebound most of the week with colds and extra kiddos I had a little extra time to work on some sewing projects I've been wanting to try.  One of the projects being a camera strap cover.
After making one for myself and loving how it turned out I decided to make a few extras!
I'll be listing them in my Etsy shop in the next couple of days.  But I thought I'd give you readers a first shot at them.  What you see is all there is... so first come first serve.
They're $15 a piece and if you're not local then add $5 for shipping.
If you want one then just leave a comment on which one you want!

They are 24 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide.  You simply slip it over your DSLR camera strap.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
I'll be sharing a yummy dinner recipe tomorrow!

Happy Sunday :)

Quick side note before I forget: If you are expecting a package from me you will be receiving it in the next couple of days!  I didn't make it to the post office this week like I had planned.... but I promise you'll be seeing your packages within a couple of days! :) Thanks for your patience!

  1. The camera straps are so cute! Two questions: 1. how to do you sew the ruffles? Just pin them in and run your sewing machine over it? 2. What are the names of the two fabrics with green background and pink flowers? SO cute! Good luck with cold season - your kiddos are adorable!
