Good evening friends!
Just a quick post before Travis comes inside from feeding the dog! I made some homemade chocolate pudding after supper and it's all set for us to enjoy when he comes in!

Here are the three cookbooks that I received this Christmas.
Top: Gooseberry Patch- Dinners on a Dime
Middle: The Farm Chicks in the Kitchen
Bottom: Betty Crocker Christmas Cookbook
I LOVE all three of these cookbooks!!! Each one offers something totally different! The Gooseberry Patch has lots of simple and yummy casserole kind of dishes. Farm Chicks in the Kitchen pretty much focuses on appetizers, breakfast and fun lunches. And the Betty Crocker is definitely not just a Christmas cookbook. It is filled with delicious dinner ideas!
If you're in need of a new cookbook I would recommend any one of these!
Oh, and if you've never owned a Gooseberry Patch cookbook you MUST get yourself one! They have tons of different kinds!
I've started placing my favorite cookbooks on a cake stand in my kitchen for easy access. That way when I'm ready to cook I can just snatch my cookbook of the cake stand! AND plus they're just pretty to look at :)

One last thing before I forget!
I love both of the following ideas for around your home!
Let me know if you end up making either one! I'd love to see them!
I'm thinking the heart will be on my craft agenda for the weekend. Too cute!
-Sun Burst Mirror-
-Heart Wreath-
Off to dish up the chocolate pudding!
Nighty night!

Hi Ashley! I stumbled on your blog a few months ago and have really enjoyed it...and I am horrible about posting comments, but thought I finally would! I love all the creative things you post, recipes, etc. We like a lot of the same stuff! :) I am loving this heart wreath and am going to make one (or two!). It would even be a fun craft to make in MOPS - ya think? Thanks for sharing and I am excited to follow the link - looks like another good blog!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of putting favorite cookbooks on a cake stand, great idea! And, that heart wreath is adorable!
ReplyDeleteHey Ashley. I absolutely love the wreath idea. Let me know how it turns out for you. I am in no way crafty, but I just made Brynley a tutu this week that I am pretty proud of. Maybe I could conquer a wreath next! I love reading about your family...sorry I am terrible about commenting!!! I hope you guys are doing well.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you for your kind words about our cookbook and we LOVE the idea of storing your current favorites on a cake stand...clever!

I love cookbooks! LOVE. And I'm trying to learn to be a more adventurous cook as well. That heart would be perfect for valentine's day.
