Weekend Recap

I'm going to try to keep this short and sweet... I still need to get my house in order for Monday!  No matter how clean my house starts at the beginning of the weekend it ALWAYS looks like a bomb went off by the time Sunday evening rolls around! Anyone with me?

Alrighty...here comes the recap...

Friday evening I spent at the sewing machine finishing up a few orders and working on this little crayon roll...

The crayon roll was a gift for our friend Camdyn who had her 2nd birthday party on Saturday!  It was such a fun party complete with a bounce house

Over the weekend I made Paula Deen's "Mama's Pound Cake."  Scrumptious!  If you're looking for a moist pound cake than this is the one!  I served ours with a strawberry lime glaze.  There was no rhyme or reason to the glaze.  I just pureed strawberries, lime juice and powdered sugar together until it was thin enough that I could drizzle it over the cake.

This morning (Sunday) we went to church and then came home for long Sunday afternoon naps.  After naptime we headed to the park.

The biggest news at our home this weekend was that...

Emma caught her first fish!!!  She reeled it in all by herself and even held if for a minute :)
