GT and the Halo Express

posted on: Thursday, April 15, 2010

Growing up my Mom was so good about having lots of Christian stories for us to listen to on audio cassettes.  My favorite cassettes that we had were called, "GT and the Halo Express."  It's about a guardian angel named GT (Good Tidings).  Each cassette has a story and throughout the story they sing different Bible verses. Each story has around 10-12 verses in it. I can still remember all the Bible verses that I learned by simply listening to the stories!  I wondered if they still made them and if they had been switched over to CDs and they HAVE!  I HIGHLY encourage you if you are a parent to buy these for your kids!  Here's where you can get them
Seriously, not only will your kids love them but you will too!  Oh and sidenote: they are not goofy or baby like.  Anyone can enjoy listening to them.

Last night after baths the babes watched a Veggie Tales movie with Travis.
  Guess it was a nail-biting episode :)
Hope everyone is having a great Thursday!

  3. Just found your blog (from Carissa's) and can't wait to read more.

My Big Kids all liked GT and the Halo Express. What a fun memory! I didn't know they had been made into CDs. My Big Kids also liked Bullfrogs & Butterflies, and I did find that on CD last year. My Big Kids also loved Adventures in Odyssey ... and my little kids thoroughly enjoy them, as well. Yes ... Christian songs, stories, and entertainment are so very important as we raise up our children to love and serve the Lord.

Off to read more of your blog ...

  4. I raised my kids on GT and the Halo Express cassette tapes. I bought them for my new granddaughter. I hope she loves them as much as my kids did. They are terrific!
